Why we think it is so important...
Discipleship is an intensely personal activity of two or more people. It is a deep relationship where we can be real and deal with real struggles. It is being there for the relationship. Jesus was and is relational. A great picture of how relational Jesus was/is can be found when we look at Luke 10:38-42.

38As Jesus and his disciples were on their way, he came to a village where a woman named Martha opened her home to him. She had a sister called Mary, who sat at the Lord's feet listening to what he said. But Martha was distracted by all the preparations that had to be made. She came to him and asked, "Lord, don't you care that my sister has left me to do the work by myself? Tell her to help me!" "Martha, Martha," the Lord answered, "you are worried and upset about many things, but only one thing is needed. Mary has chosen what is better, and it will not be taken away from her."

Jesus and Mary were concentrating on their relationship before worrying about everything they could be doing! In turn we want to follow Jesus’ example. Above all in our ministry in New Zealand we want to be there for these students. To sit with them, to listen to them, to grow in Christ with them. We want to invest our time into these students and encourage them to do the same and invest their time into their unreached friends and family!
We are looking forward to start this adventure. Please pray with us as we seek new supporters and trust in God to provide!
