Ministry activities for Christchurch Navs

A few years ago we were asked by our host organization (The Navigators of New Zealand) to put together a video that would explain the core of ministry activities and highlight some of the people involved here in Christchurch. Here is what we were able to come up with.

Day at the Beach

We bought the boys wetsuits on trademe (kind of like craigslist) and had planned to take them to Auckland for the beach.  The weather in Auckland was not so delightful so we did not get to play at the beach.  All I heard for two weeks was when can we wear our wetsuits.  Back in Christchurch we finally had a day of beautiful sunshine and not much wind so we headed for an afternoon at the beach.  The water was freezing, but it didn't faze the boys and they had a blast!

Auckland

We took so many pictures on our trip to Auckland that is was easier to just put it to a little video then try to post lots of pictures.  The main reason we went to Auckland was for the NZ National Navs Conference. It was so encouraging to see what God is doing around the country.  While there we were able to play a bit...some on our own.....and some with our Kiwi friends!  Hope you enjoy!

Year 3
Logan has two teachers this year
Mrs. Girdler (Monday, Wed, and Friday)
and Mrs. Taylor (Tues. and Thurs.)
He is in the 3rd row...third from the left!
We are very proud of Logan this year as he is doing very well in
school.  He loves science, art, and non fiction books.
His best friends are Raymond and Lewis!
 LANDON
Age 5
Year 1
Landon's teacher is Mrs. Gelton and he is standing
right next to his teacher which when you are
5 is the best spot! Landon has done so good this year
adjusting to school all day!  He loves learning to read
and it getting so good.  He also loves music time and
we often find him singing the songs he learns around the house!
We are so proud of him.
His best friends are Karl and Reece!
LEVI
Age 4
Levi is in preschool but is closer to 5 everyday!
In NZ you start school literally the day you turn 5!
He is excited to join his brothers in February but in
the mean time loves exploring and enjoying extra time
with mom and dad!
We are so proud of Levi for his love and independent spirit!

International Day

The boys had an International Day at school and they were able to represent the United States!  They were very honored and proud to hold the USA Flag!  It is amazing to me how international Christchurch really is.  Just at our small school there were over 30 Countries represented!

Bowling with the Students

One great thing about working with Uni students is that our kids love spending time with them. A group of the students got together to go bowling and have some dinner together. I am grateful that my kids have such great young men and women to look up to!
